Simple solution, that does what you want. Without network dependency (as QtSingleApplication
) and without any overhead.
Usage:
int main()
{
RunGuard guard( "some_random_key" );
if ( !guard.tryToRun() )
return 0;
QAppplication a(/*...*/);
// ...
}
RunGuard.h
#ifndef RUNGUARD_H
#define RUNGUARD_H
#include <QObject>
#include <QSharedMemory>
#include <QSystemSemaphore>
class RunGuard
{
public:
RunGuard( const QString& key );
~RunGuard();
bool isAnotherRunning();
bool tryToRun();
void release();
private:
const QString key;
const QString memLockKey;
const QString sharedmemKey;
QSharedMemory sharedMem;
QSystemSemaphore memLock;
Q_DISABLE_COPY( RunGuard )
};
#endif // RUNGUARD_H
RunGuard.cpp
#include "RunGuard.h"
#include <QCryptographicHash>
namespace
{

{
QByteArray data;
data.append( key.toUtf8() );
data.append( salt.toUtf8() );
data = QCryptographicHash::hash( data, QCryptographicHash::Sha1 ).toHex();
return data;
}
}
RunGuard::RunGuard( const QString& key )

{
memLock.acquire();
{
QSharedMemory fix( sharedmemKey ); // Fix for *nix: http://habrahabr.ru/post/173281/
