c# - Is Microsoft Terminating Support for Xamarin.iOS in Favor of MAUI

Question

I'm trying to determine what the outlook is for Xamarin.iOS. I have heard that Microsoft will terminate support for Xamarin in favor of MAUI. However, is this only for xamarin.forms, or does it also include xamarin.ios. Further reading indicates that it will simply be rebranded as dotnet ios with the release of .net 6. Can someone please confirm what Microsoft is trying to do with Xamarin.iOS, and how it will correlate to long-term support of a mission critical app?
