delete all empty subfolders in given path in C#

Question

I need a code in C# for my button which will remove all empty subdirectories in a given path. in the given path there are few subfolders that also contains subfolders and goes on but there are no files.

I tried the following code but is not working

foreach (var directory in Directory.GetDirectories(selectedPath))
        {
            if (Directory.GetFiles(directory).Length == 0 &&
                Directory.GetDirectories(directory).Length == 0)
            {
                Directory.Delete(directory, false);
            }
        }

so I am looking for solution that will check until the end of the directory and if no files found to delete all subfolders (and their subfolders...) and just stop on the given directory (parent)
