identifying outliers types in spss modeler or R

Is there a way to identify correct outlier types within SPSS Modeler on time series node for Expert Modeler? I know in r that the "tsoulier" package is capable for showing you the types in a series. Lets say you working on modeler, what best method can you use to make sure your picking correct outlier types in a series? If there is no way you can do that in modeler, is it a good idea working explicitly in r with "tsoulier" package to get those types, then go back to modeler and simply detect those?
