emulation - How to use a real memory card as an SD card in Android Studio's AVD emulator?

Question

I'm trying to use android studio's AVD emulator to run my school's app that requires a memory card (given by our institute) to play recorded lectures that run only in the app. I wanted to know is there any way I can use this app in my emulator and how to make the app recognize the memory card(I use a card reader)?
