We're running VS code locally on our (sluggish) corporate Windows laptops and develop remotely via SSH on (beefy) GNU/Linux machines. For this purpose, we use the VS Code Remote-SSH extension.
Now we'd like to also use Visual Studio Live Share. We are able to start the installation, but it subsequently fails during installation when trying to download .NET Core Runtime 3.1.1 for linux
. Apparently, our corporate proxy does not allow to connect to download.microsoft.com:443
, as verified using curl. This is, I suppose, the URL and port used during installation to retrieve the .NET Core Runtime.
Is there any way to install the runtime manually, such that it is found and used by Visual Studio Live Share?
